The day starts bright in southern England with good spells of sunshine, although the cloud increases here as the front arrives from the north. Patchy rain in Wales, the Midlands, southern England and East Anglia late afternoon, perhaps turning more persistent in the southwest and southern Wales where there will be mist and go on hills too.
