Continuing cold

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 15th November 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Another chilly day for the UK and Ireland. Generally drier and brighter for most though rain moving into southeastern areas later.

Good morning,

There will be a few spells of rain this morning for eastern parts of England and Scotland. A cloudy start for southeastern parts of the UK with some mist and fog patches. Brighter for much of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland with scattered showers. Breezy for England, Wales and southern Scotland.

Rain and showers tend to ease for most areas into Friday afternoon though another band of rain moves into southeastern England and this will be heavy at times. Staying breezy across much of England and Wales. The best of the sunshine to the north and west. A chilly afternoon with highs ranging from just 5 to 9C.

Rain spreads across southeastern parts of England through Friday night while isolated showers persist for northern coastal areas.

Have a good day!
