Showers in northern England clearing, mostly dry with sunny spells
Cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain over northern England and southern Scotland this morning thanks to a weakening front. These showers and outbreaks of rain should be fading into the afternoon with sunny spels and mostly dry weather developing.
Elsewhere there will be sunny spells and mostly dry conditions, these lasting into the afternoon. Thickening cloud over Ireland as a warm front edges eastwards bringing low cloud and some drizzle and patchy rain.
Tonight will have low cloud and some drizzle over western coasts of England and Wales. eastern parts of the country will be drier with some clearer spells.
