Dry north and west
A complex pressure pattern exists around the British Isles. Fairly high pressure lies across northern Britain, whilst low pressure is to the south.
A front affects east and central England bringing rain or drizzle to many areas, which may persist for many hours in the East Midlands and the Home Counties. Some heavy falls, slowly fading.
Fair weather for many areas in the north and west, including south-west England, Wales, the north-west, much of Scotland and Ireland. Local showers around the west coast of Scotland.
Today's top temperatures may nudge close to 20C in the far south-east away from rain, but will be nearer 10C where rain lingers in central areas. Otherwise highs 13 to 15C.
Have a great day.
