Persistent and occasionally heavy rain is expected, especially over the hills. There is a chance of localised flooding and standing water on roads leading to longer journey times.

Chief Forecaster

A band of rain will linger over western Scotland through Wednesday morning before slowly clearing southwards. Many places will see 20-30 mm of rain whilst isolated 50 mm of rain is possible over the hills.
