Friday
A breezy day for all as weak fronts pass eastwards through the UK and Ireland. There will be some showery rain for parts of Scotland and Ireland this morning, as well as across northwest England and Wales. Further south and east it will be drier and brighter with some sunny spells and feeling much fresher than of late. This afternoon sees fronts continuing the edge southwards bringing a few showery spots of rain across northern England, Wales, and the Midlands. Many areas are likely to be remaining dry. Becoming brighter in Scotland with a few showers in the west but on the whole dry with sunny spells. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 14 to 19C elsewhere.


Friday Night
The showery rain affects much of the southern half of England and the whole of Wales tonight. Most of this over western facing slopes and coasts. It may be that the rain turns more persistent, although still mainly light across southwest England after midnight, then slipping along southern coasts through the early hours. Drier across northern England, Ireland and Scotland although there will be some showers on western coasts and hills. Lows at 8 to 12C.


Saturday
A deep area of low pressur remains to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. This brings strong winds and heavy showers to much of northern and western Sotland, the showers merging to longer spells of rain at times. A cold front over southeast England may linger for a time giving some outbreaks of rain here, but this clearing into the afternoon. For the rets of the country the day will be one of broken cloud and sunny spells, just a few showers in the west. Highs near 14 to 20C.


Sunday
The area of low pressure swings to the east of Scotland on Sunday. A slacker pressure flow further south. Breezy in Scotland with showers in the north and west, some of them heavy and rather cloudy here too. Brighter for England, Wales and most of Ireland with sunny spells, although morning showers are likely in northwest England and north Wales. Northern Ireland may see some showers until early afternoon. Thicker cloud arrives in western Ireland in the morning with rain here during Sunday afternoon. Highs at 14 to 22C.
