Friday
A slow-moving front pushes gradually east through the day. A lot of cloud, and outbreaks of rain for west & northern areas in the morning, edging across the Midlands in the middle of the day. Thunderstorms likely to break out for East Anglia & the south-east by afternoon and evening. Brightening skies with a few showers for Scotland & Northern Ireland. Light winds. Temepratures 16 to 19C north & west; a humid 22 to 25C south & east.


Friday night
A chance of further pulses of thundery rain affecting the south-east into the night, but most should clear away into the North Sea and near continent. Dry for many places, with clearing skies. Showers will affect Atlantic coastlines of Ireland and Scotland on a freshening south-westerly breeze. Cooler and fresher for most, lowest temperatures 7 to 10C, locally cooler in rural northern England & Wales, also eastern Scotland.


Saturday
Many places dry with good spells of sunshine. The south-east may start dull, with a risk of residual rain from overnight. For most places, cloud builds through the day, and a scattering of showers will develop across Scotland and Ireland. By afternoon, isolated showers are possible for England & Wales, but most will avoid these. A south-westerly breeze, strongest on western coasts. Less humid, highs 16 to 21C, warmest south-east.


Sunday
Low pressure lies to the north-west and high pressure to the south. Showers for Scotland & Ireland, giving frequent rain locally. An increasing risk of showers breaking out across England & Wales through the day, although there will be sunny spells, best in the morning. Generally driest toward the south-east. A brisk south-westerly breeze, particularly around western coasts. Highs 16 to 20C.
