Lots of cloud to come across Britain today with only the briefest breaks given the sunnier interlude. Plenty of dry weather is expected across England, Wales, southern Scotland and Northern Ireland with patches of light rain across north west England and the far south. Moderate morning rain across western parts of Scotland becomes light and patchy in the afternoon. During the latter part of the afternoon another area of more persistent rain reaches the western provinces of Northern Ireland. It becomes windy through the Irish Sea. Expect maximum temperatures of 13 to 15 Celsius across Scotland and 15 to 17 Celsius for England and Wales.
As the winds strengthen from the south west, outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain spill into Northern Ireland, western Scotland and the north west of England. A windy night to follow with rain becoming lighter as it spreads eastward across all of Scotland, northern England and North Wales. To the south it stays cloudy but dry. A mild night with minimum temperatures of 9 to 13 Celsius.
