Breezy with rain in the west, drier in the east and mild for all

Good morning,

A windy day across the UK and Ireland with rain in western areas. The rain could be heavy at times, especially in southern Ireland as well as across the high ground of southwest England, southern and western Wales. Drier across most of the rest of the UK with some sunny spells.
 

This afternoon is likely to be staying windy with more spells of rain across Ireland, western and southern Wales and southwest England as well as western Scotland. Mostly dry for northern Wales, much of England and Scotland too. Feeling mild in the sunshine in central and eastern areas.

The rain extends from Northern Ireland, through Wales and into centrala dn southern England overnight. Drier further to the north and east and staying breezy.
