A rather wet and windy day is forecast across the British Isles as low pressure dominates the weather

Good morning,

It's a wet and windy start to the day especially across England and Wales with outbreaks of rain and showers, some of which will be heavy. Potentially drier across Scotland and Ireland but even here some showery conditions are possible. Feeling cool if not rather chilly for many areas given the wet and windy conditions.

Remaining rather unsettled into Tuesday evening and overnight but with any residual persistent rain clearing and then many areas having clear spells and scattered showers, the showers perhaps most frequent across some eastern areas of England and Scotland. Still windy for most and a rather cool or chilly night.
