Good morning,

A fair start to the morning across much of England and Wales. There will be sunny spells and it should be dry, albeit rather cool. Skies clouding over in northern England and southern and eastern Ireland. Rain and brisker winds for western Ireland and western Scotland, this turning heavy here as the morning progresses.

becoming wet and breezy this afternoon across most of Scotland and northern England as well as northern and western Wales. Low cloud shrouds the hills in the wet areas too. patchy rain may reach the Midlands and southwest England, but east Ang;ia and the southeast should stay dry. Showers following the rain into Ireland.

Tonight is breezy with showery outbreaks of rain turning more persistent in prats of England, Wales and Ireland. The risk of some heavier rain in central and northern Scotland too.
