Cool in the breeze

Good morning,

Low pressure lies over the northern North Sea and Scandinavia, producing a brisk westerly flow across the British Isles today. Pressure builds slowly from the south-west.

A few showers for northern areas, most frequent for Scotland, spreading from west to east across the Highlands during the day, giving local heavy bursts, with a chance of isolated thunder.

Central & southern Britain will be mainly dry, with just a small risk of a passing light shower, and good spells of sunshine. The fresh breeze will ease only slowly into the evening.

It will feel quite cool again - top temperatures just 15 to 17C in the north & west of Britain, 18 to 20C in the Midlands and south-east England.

Have a great day.
