Cool in the north

Very warm and summery across Iberia and across south east Europe. A dry day to come across Portugal and south western parts of Spain. During the day heavy showers and thunderstorms develop across central and eastern parts of Spain. A few heavy showers will affect Brittany with thunderstorms in the far south west of France. Much of France is looking warm and dry with sunny spells. Fine and dry across Belgium and The Netherlands with sunny spells. An area of heavy rain across Germany and the far south of Norway clears late in the afternoon. An area of heavy thunderstorms will affect Switzerland, Austria and the Italian Alps. Heavy rain spills into Poland and the Czech Republic during the day. Warm and sunny across Croatia, Hungary, Romania and the Ukraine while thundery showers develop across the rest of the Adriatic Region. Sunny and warm with a few thundery showers developing across central parts of Greece and western Bulgaria with more frequent heavy showers across Turkey away from the coasts. Sunny and very warm across Italy. Wet with heavy rain expected across Norway and Sweden while Finland will be fine and dry.

A warm day to come across central and southern parts of Europe, cooler in the north. An area of heavy rain spreads into Britain and western France accompanied by gusty winds. Showers are likely across eastern France and across southern Germany and the Alpine Region these are going to be heavy and thundery. Apart from a few showers for northern Iberia, most of Portugal will be dry, sunny and warm. More unsettled and warm across Italy today with plenty of heavy showers and thunderstorms developing. Just a few showers to affect the Alpine Region, Greece and Romania, otherwise a dry, warm day is expected. Fine and dry from The Czech Republic across into Poland, The Baltic States and Belarus. Spells of rain are forecast for northern Russia and Finland with much of southern Sweden and Finland cold but dry. A few showers may be found around the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Western pats of Turkey will also see some showers with the east dry. Strong winds are likely across the channel into Biscay and western France.
