Thundery rain central Europe, drier to the north and south
Temperatures remain very high across Spain with highs to 40 Celsius while northern Europe becomes a bit cooler and is more unsettled. Apart from a few heavy showers near the north coast of Spain, it will be dry, hot and sunny again for most of Spain and Portugal. Still quite breezy on the north Spanish coast. Dry through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and into Denmark and Norway with sunny skies.
A dry warm, summery day as well for Austria and the Czech Republic. A number of showers with a risk of thunder are forecast from northern Germany into Poland, Belarus, The Baltic States, Russia, Finland, the Ukraine and Sweden. Lots of very warm sunshine to come across the Adriatic Region, the Balkans, Italy and most of Turkey. A few rogue, heavy showers may develop across inland parts of Turkey late in the afternoon. A fine, summery day to come through the Mediterranean. Those strong easterly winds through the Straits of Gibraltar will lessen through the day.
Thundery showers in northern Spain and a few triggering across eastern and southern Spain. Drier and brighter to the west with sunny spells. Dry with more sunshine across the Balearics as well as over Italy. Greece and Turkey will be dry with sunny spells although there will be thundery showers in the east.
Rain or showers in central and southern France although drier to the north with sunny spells. The Low Countries and Germany will be dry with sunny spells, although a few showers in Poland. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will be thundery with heavy periods of rain at times.
Denmark will be dry with sunny spells. Showers for the Baltic States and Finland. Sweden is going to have heavy showers and will be cooler. Sunshine and scattered showers across Norway too.
