Summery across the Balkans, Adriatic
Another hot day across Iberia today with high temperatures of over 40 Celsius across central parts of Spain. Much of Europe will be very warm with the coolest temperatures across Britain and Scandinavia. Sunny and dry today across Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, most of France and Italy. A dry day to come across England but there is a risk of showers across Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark. Heavy showers are also expected across Norway and Sweden with more persistent rain to affect Finland. Very warm with a risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms across southern Germany, Austria, The Czech Republic into eastern Poland and the Baltic States. Lots of warm sunshine will be on offer across the Adriatic Region and Hungary. Sunny and dry across the Ukraine into Romania, Bulgaria into Greece. Fine and sunny as well across the Greek Isles. A few heavy showers may develop across central parts of Turkey but mainly dry here. Strong east winds will prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar and very windy as well along the northern coast of Spain.
Temperatures remain very high across Spain with highs to 40 Celsius while northern Europe becomes a bit cooler and is more unsettled. Apart from a few heavy showers near the north coast of Spain, it will be dry, hot and sunny again for most of Spain and Portugal. Still quite breezy on the north Spanish coast. Dry through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and into Denmark and Norway with sunny skies. A dry warm, summery day as well for Austria and the Czech Republic. A number of showers with a risk of thunder are forecast from northern Germany into Poland, Belarus, The Baltic States, Russia, Finland, the Ukraine and Sweden. Lots of very warm sunshine to come across the Adriatic Region, the Balkans, Italy and most of Turkey. A few rogue, heavy showers may develop across inland parts of Turkey late in the afternoon. A fine, summery day to come through the Mediterranean. Those strong easterly winds through the Straits of Gibraltar will lessen through the day.
