Varying between low and high pressure this week
Models not in total agreement today with some keeping high pressure in through Sunday while others show a breakdown as a front moves across the United Kingdom. Some disagreement too on the pattern next week but leaning to a wet day on Sunday with an unsettled pattern then for the rest of the forecast period and beyond.
For the weather for the next few days click here
Sunday 24/08/08 A weather front moving across the country will spread rain into most places but this soon clears from western parts of Britain and then clears eastern areas in the afternoon as it becomes dry and sunnier. More rain piles into the north and west overnight. Highs of 15 to 19C.
Monday 25/08/08 A dry day for East Anglia and the south east with early sunshine then cloudy. Generally cloudy and damp elsewhere with outbreaks of rain. This clears Scotland and Northern Ireland by the afternoon followed by sunshine and showers. Highs of 15 to 20C.
Tuesday 26/08/08 Outbreaks of rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland in the morning spill into northern England in the afternoon. Mainly fine and dry for Wales and southern parts of England with sunny spells. Expect highs of 19 to 22C north to south.
Wednesday 27/08/08 Windy with sunshine and showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry for south east England in the morning but heavy rain elsewhere pushes south in the afternoon. Tops of 15 to 19C.
Thursday 28/08/08 Rather cool and mostly cloudy across much of the United Kingdom today with occasional showers. Highs of 15 to 19C.
