Another showery day, some of them heavy; windy in south

Good morning.

Well, it's getting harder day by day to write these Morning Calls because you know what they are going to be talking about...rain!

Today's showers are likely to be focused through England and Wales as well as northern England this morning. The showers are likely to be heavy at times and there will be some thunderstorms in places as well. Thicker cloud and more persistent rain are expected through northern and western England as well as Ireland.

I suspect that later on in the day conditions may improve through Ireland, Wales and western England as pressure begins to rise. This will see the showers fading from more western areas as we approach the evening. There will still be showers overnight in northern and western Scotland, although other areas should be dry.

Tomorrow is look a better day with sunshine, although get set for wet and windy weather over southern Ireland later, and then wet and windy day throughout the whole of the UK overnight into Friday. Next weeks forecast can be seen here.
