Showery with a few drier days around mid week

Low pressure will control the weather across Britain into Wednesday and remains dominant across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the period. High pressure will then not be too far from southern England so here it looks to become a lot drier and sunnier than of late though it remains to be seen how long it stays settled, probably not too long. Temperatures will rise closer to normal levels in the south.

High pressure now across England and Wales today. Outbreaks of rain will spread into Northern Ireland and Scotland today but for England and Wales it's looking dry and mostly sunny though a few showers are possible in the south and across The Midlands in the afternoon. Feeling a bit warmer too with highs of 17 to 22C.

Saturday 07/07/07
For Scotland and Northern Ireland there will be some sunshine but also a number of showers, a few heavy for the afternoon. Another dry day across England and Wales with sunny spells. Highs of 17 to 22C.

Sunday 08/07/07
Across England and Wales it's a dry, mostly sunny morning. In the afternoon just one or two showers will develop. Further heavy showers though to come through the day across Scotland and Northern Ireland but some sun too. Highs of 16 to 23C north to south.

Monday 09/07/07
Many places to start dry and bright but showers are expected in most places later this morning and into the afternoon, a few heavy. Look for highs of 16 to 21C.

Tuesday 10/07/07
Outbreaks of rain are forecast for Scotland this morning which clears to showers. England and Wales will generally be unsettled with occasional showers through the day. Highs at 16 to 20C.
