High pressure is going to be building to the north of the country in the coming week and that means increasing amounts of sunshine and rising temperatures. It should be dry for most too, although there is the chance of some rain affecting far southern counties later in the week, with the winds picking up here too.

A warmer and sunnier day on Tuesday. Cloud is going to be well broken for almost all of the UK and Ireland as two ridges of high pressure, one from the south and another from the north, join through the country. This brings warm conditions with good spells of sunshine. Thicker cloud affecting the far west of Ireland with some spots of rain here, although all other places are dry. Highs at 18 to 23C.
A ridge of high pressure extends south through the country on Wednesday. This is going to be bringing a warm day with good spells of sunshine for all areas. Highs around 18 to 22C.
Despite pressure remains high over the whole of the UK and Ireland on Thursday, there are hints of some thicker cloud nudging north through the Midlands and southern England perhaps producing an odd shower here. Highs at 18 to 22C.
Conditions become a little more complex at the end of the week, although high pressure remains over the north of the country. To the south pressure will be falling and this means an increasing east wind through Friday. Most places should be dry with sunny spells, although there is the chance of some rain or showers affecting southwest England and southern Ireland. Highs will be to 17 to 21C.
Little change through Saturday with the high to the north and low pressure to the south. There could be some rain trough southern counties of England and Ireland as well as the south of Wales. For most though the day will be dry with sunny spells. Highs around 15 to 19C.
A mainly dry day with good spells of sunshine to come across most of the country. Cloud to the south is likely to be thicker, and may produce some spots of rain on southern coasts. Generally though it will be another dry day. Highs at 15 to 20C.
