A warm front moving northwards through this morning brings plenty of cloud and humid conditions. There will be outbreaks of rain across Ireland, northern England and much of Scotland. The most persistent of the rain is likely over the southern Pennines and northwest England. Brighter skies will be developing in central and southeastern areas, and it will become very warm here too. More sunny spells in central and southern areas in the afternoon with lower cloud and drizzle spreading to southwest England and southern Ireland where it may be foggy too. Temperatures may get to 27C in the sunshine in the southeast, but nearer 17C in western Scotland.
A humid night ahead for many. There will be further outbreaks of rain and drizzle affecting Scotland and northwest England, although parts of eastern Scotland and northeast England should be drier. A dry start to the night for much of England and eastern wales, although rain will be turning more persistent over west Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. The rain turns more showery as it crosses the rest of England, Wales and Ireland in the second half of the night with fresher conditions returning to the south. Lows near 10 to 14C.
Low pressure will be just southwest of Ireland on Thursday. This pushes fronts northwards bringing rain and cloud to Ireland, eastern and northern England as well as much of Scotland. Brighter, fresher weather returns to the south and west as the cloud and rain clears with some sunny spells for more central and southern areas of England. Through the afternoon heavier rain reaches southern Ireland, and this will be spreading to southwest England and Wales later. A breezier day for all. Highs at 23C in the southeast, 14C in northern Scotland.
The area of low pressure is expected to the west of Scotland on Friday. Fronts will be passing eastwards taking areas of cloud, rain and showers with them. The heaviest of the showers over Scotland and northwest England. Less rain to the east and south with sunny spells here. A windy day for all. Highs at 15 to 22C.
