There will be some good spells of sunshine, but the cold conditions will continue throughout the day with temperatures rising to just abiove freezing. Thicker cloud through Ireland, northern England and Scotland briging a few spots of drizzle here and there, and a milder day generally. Highs at 2C in England and Wales, 7C in western Scotland and Ireland.
Saturday Night More cloud and some spots of drizsle through ireland, northern England and Scotland tonight. There could be some drizzle slipping south into the northern Midlands and East Anglia and this may well turn to ice in these areas at it hits frozen services. Clearer skies and drier weather for southern England. A bitterly cold night in the southeast at -8C, but around 1C in much of Scotland and Ireland.
Sunday High pressure will be to the west of the country through Sunday. A cold front slips south through England and Wales taking some outbreaks of rain with it, although these generally light. Brighter westher is expected over northern England and the south and east of Scotland. Thicker cluod for northern and western Scotland as fronts arrive here later bringign some rain. Highs at 3 to 7C.
Monday A cooler but brighter day on Monday. A cold front will be sweeping southwards taking a bamnd of showery rain wituh it. This could turn to snow over the hills of northern England and Scotland. There will be sunny spells ahead of the front, and some better sunny spells following behind the front. Some wintry showers may affect Orkney, Shetland and northeast Scotland. Highs at 5 to 8C.
