Morning Call - April 24, 2012
Rain in east
Frost tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 24th April 2012
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain in eastern areas, but a risk of frost tonight

Good morning, Low pressure is edging away to the east through this morning. This low has a front wrapped around it which is draped through East Anglia and the southeast of England. This is bringing lots of cloud and some outbreaks of rain here. More central and western areas are experiencing a slight rise in pressure though, and so I think that showers will be fading across Wales and southwest England this afternoon.

Heavier showers across more northern parts of the country. The showers could merge into longer periods of rain at times, some of these thundery. Cloud and rain over the far north of Scotland. The showers and rain will be continuing into this evening.

As skies clear across most of central and northern England and Wales tonight, there is a risk of a slight frost forming.

Have a great day.
