Garry: A bright afternoon, but temperatures just 3 or 4C in central & eastern areas. Sheltered spots in the west and far north are up to 7 or 8C.

Garry: Temperatures fell as low as -9C in the Highlands last night, but in rural central Britain it was more like -3C. A bright but chilly day again.

Matt: Cloudy weather persists through central areas of England and much of Wales, but with plenty of clear skies elsewhere. Variable cloud continues tonight, but tonight will see the first night where a more widespread slight frost will develop across most inland areas. Chilly Thursday morning will follow.

Matt: Fine weather continues for many, but there are some light showers across parts of E England, particularly Yorkshire and down towards Lincolnshire, but these are the exception to what is a dry afternoon ahead with some bright or sunny spells, these prolonged at times in the north and west.

Matt: A fine start to the day across many areas as high pressure now dominates. Some variable cloud and the odd isolated shower across N England, but emphasis is on a lot of dry weather through the morning with spells of late winter sunshine. Chilly mind, especially where there is some cloud.
