Rain and cloud through central and northern Europe, but lots of sunshine and dry weather to far south
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain across northern Spain on Tuesday. Away from the northern coasts the day should be dry and bright with long spells of sunshine. Sunshine across the south of France too, although some cloud through more central areas, and this cloud and rain extends into northern Germany. The Low Countries and far north of France should be dry with sunny spells. Fair across Poland with more sunshine here.
Switzerland and Austria, together with Hungary are likely to be dry with sunny spells. Heavy and thundery showers in Italy, mostly to the north. Fine and sunny for Greece and Turkey, this sunshine extending into Bulgaria and Romania.
Much more unsettled for Scandinavia. It will be breezy and showers in Norway. Denmark is going to be cloudy and wet with lengthy periods of rain. More cloud and heavy rain in Sweden and the Baltic States, the rain reaching Finland in the afternoon.
High pressure through the Mediterranean on Wednesday will be bringing a fine day. There will be good spells of sunshine across Spain and Portugal. More sunshine through the central Mediterranean, with sunshine across Italy and Greece. Some heavy showers could affect central parts of Turkey, as well as parts of Bulgaria and Romania.
Fine weather for central and southern France with lots of sunshine here. Northern France sees cloudier skies and some outbreaks of rain and strong winds. The cloud, rain and wind affecting the Low Countries as well as northern Germany. Much of Germany, Austria and Switzerland stay dry with some good spells of sunshine.
Strong winds over Denmark and southern Norway with some cloud and rain here. Better conditions through the rest of Norway and Sweden with plenty of sunshine. The Baltic States and Finland will be dry with sunshine.
