Plenty of hot sunshine in southern areas, but more unsettled in central and northern Europe

Tuesday
A sunny and hot day across Portugal and Spain, and this fine. Sunny and very warm weather will extend eastward across the Balearics, across Corsica and Sardinia and through into Italy and Turkey. More showers develop across the United Kingdom today and also across the northern half of France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark.
A breezy day of sunny spells and showers across Norway and Sweden and heavy showers forecast. Fine and sunny across Finland with showers across the Ukraine. Most of Poland will be dry with sunny spells. Sunny, hot and dry as well across Romania, Bulgaria and the former Yugoslavia will be hot, dry and sunny.
A scattering of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast for Switzerland across the Alps into Austria and the Czech Republic. Very warm and sunny across south France a few scattered showers are forecast across northern Germany along with some good spells. Very windy through the Aegean Sea again today.



Wednesday
A few thunderstorms forming over central parts of Spain today. Portugal and the rest of Spain should be fine with plenty of sunshine. Italy looks set to have a fair day too with some sunshine here, and Greece as well as Turkey are looking fine and sunny.
Cloud and rain affecting northern and western France, with the south seeing a few showers. More cloud and rain through the Low Countries and into Germany, although southern Germany should stay fair. Plenty of sunshine and dry weather to come across Germany and Poland.
Some showers for southern Sweden, but cloud and rain affecting Norway and northern Sweden as well as much of Finland. Denmark should be dry with some sunny spells here.
