Summery across the Mediterranean

Today
A hot day across Italy and much of eastern Europe. Brisk west winds will be blowing through the Straits of Gibraltar with a strong north wind through the Aegean Sea. Expect showers across Britain into Belgium and Holland. Fine and sunny across northern France but rain and showers are expected in the south and across Germany. Showers are forecast across eastern Spain but dry and sunny in the west and across Portugal. Generally cloudy but mainly dry across the Balearics today. Sunny and hot across Italy into the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Hungary, The Ukraine, Romania, Greece and Turkey. Most of Russia also looks sunny and hot. A rash of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected across Norway, Sweden and the far north of Poland with most of Poland, The Baltic States and Finland sunny and dry. Heavy showers are also likely across The Alps.

A cloudy day across England with outbreaks of rain and this rain area will extend across north western France with showers for eastern France but dry and sunny in the south and the west. Mainly dry across Belgium and Holland with showers across Denmark and northern parts of Norway and Sweden, dry and sunnier in the south. Wet today across Finland with heavy rain and heavy showers will affect north west Russia with the rest of Russia, sunny and hot. This summery weather extends down across The Ukraine, into Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic into the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. Hot and dry as well across into Italy, Corsica and Sardinia. Damp and cloudy with rain across Germany today. Sunny and hot across Spain and Portugal today. A fine day across Poland, Belarus and across the Baltic States.
