Rain across northern parts of Europe but southern areas will be staying sunny and hot

Wednesday
A cloudy day across England with outbreaks of rain and this rain area will extend across Belgium, Holland and northern parts of Germany.
Southern parts of Germany and Denmark should stay dry with sunny spells. Apart from a few showers across eastern France, it will be a fine dry, sunny and warm day. A few showers to come across western parts of Norway, otherwise sunny and dry, and a few showers are also expected across parts of Sweden with sunny spells.
Much more in the way of heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Russia, Finland, the Baltic States and across into Belarus. Mainly dry across Holland with sunny spells and sunny spells are expected through Austria, the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary and Romania.
Lots of very warm sunshine to come across Greece, Turkey and most of the Ukraine, while a strong north wind will be blowing down through the Aegean Sea. Western parts of Spain and Portugal could just see the odd shower, otherwise dry, mostly sunny and hot.



Thursday
Cloud and some rain affecting northern Spain today. Showers may affect inland parts of Portugal, but the east and south of Spain should be fine with plenty of sunshine. Heavy periods of rain affecting western and northern France. Some rain through the Low Countries and northern Germany too. Poland will have a few showers and these may be heavy. Thunderstorms breaking out over Hungary but fine through Austria and Hungary.
A fine and hot day in Italy, although some heavy showers forming inland. Lots of sunshine and very wearm conditions in Greece, with most of Turkey fine too. Increasing wind in the north. Bulgaria and Austria should be fine with lots of sunshine.
A few showers in Finland and the Baltic States. Cloud and some rain in Denmark. Fair across Sweden with lots of sunshine here, although showers affect Norway.
