Fair for northern Europe, but showers and rain in the south

Wednesday
Cool and showery across England, northern and central parts of France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, western Germany and Sweden. Some of these will be heavy with a dry day for the South of France and eastern Germany. Mainly dry albeit cloudy across Norway with long sunny spells across Finland.
Most of Russia, The Baltic States into Belarus and the Ukraine will be dry and mostly sunny. Cloudy across Poland with light rain. Hot, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal today with plenty of warm sunshine across the Balearics into Italy.
More unsettled with heavy showers and thunderstorms for Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria with rain across the former Yugoslavia. Dry with sunny spells for Austria with showers for Switzerland.



Thursday
Some heavy showers developing through Portugal and parts of northern Spain today, some of these thundery at times. Heavy periods of rain and showers affecting the west of France. Fair conditions over Germany and the Low Countries as well as Poland, Switzerland, Hungary and Austria.
Fair across central and northern Italy but windy with a few showers for southern Italy. Cloud and periods of rain over Greece and western Turkey. Cloud and some showers for western Bulgaria and western Romania with eastern areas being dry.
Cold with rain and cloud over the Baltic States and Finland, the rain heavy at times. More cloud and some rain across noprthern Sweden, but Norway should be drier and brighter. Mainly dry and cool over Denmark with sunny spells.
