Warmest across southern Spain, cold across Scandinavia

Today
Very windy with gales and heavy rain across the western parts of the United Kingdom today. A dry, bright day across all of France with some sunshine. Dry but rather cloudy today across Belgium, Germany and Holland with outbreaks of rain for Poland, the Baltic States and western Russia. Rain too across southern Norway and Sweden but sleet and snow will affect the north. Morning snow is expected to clear from Finland in the morning. Light rain is forecast for Belarus into the Ukraine today. A fine, mostly sunny day across Portugal. Largely dry across Spain though a few showers are possible in the afternoon. Fine, dry and mostly sunny from the Balearics across into Italy, the Alpine Region into Greece and Turkey. Sunny weather will also prevail across the former Yugoslavia into Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.

Heavy rain clears England and will spread in across Norway, Sweden, Finland, parts of Belgium, the far north of France and northern Spain. A dry, bright day to come for Denmark. Fair and dry as well for much of France, Germany, Holland and Poland with sunny spells. Some rain to come across western Russia but dry across the Baltic States, Belarus and the Ukraine. Much of Iberia into the Balearics, Italy and into the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey will remain under high pressure. Some mist clears otherwise dry here and mostly sunny. Lots of sunshine on offer today for Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary as well.
