Rather cool across Europe

Today
An area of rain is expected across the United Kingdom today and this spills in across parts of northern France in the afternoon. Central and southern France will see lots of showers, many locally heavy. Spells of rain are likely across the Alpine Region and in the far south of Germany. Much of Germany though should be fine and dry and this extends north across the Low Countries, Denmark and across Poland as well. Cool across Scandinavia but apart from a few showers near the coast of western Norway, it's a dry day with good sunny spells after a frosty start. A dry day to come for the Baltic States and into Belarus, the Ukraine and Romania. Showers are forecast across western Russia. Pleasantly warm and sunny weather will prevail from Spain across the Balearics into Italy, Greece and Turkey. Lots of fine sunshine too will be found across Bulgaria and Hungary.

Saturday
A better day across the United Kingdom today with a dry, mostly sunny but cool day. Fine and dry as well across northern France while some light rain will be found in the south. Light rain will fall across Belgium and Holland while heaver rain is expected from Denmark into Germany across the Alpine Region into northern Italy. Southern Italy stays dry and sunny. Just a few showers to come across parts of Poland and western Norway. Otherwise fine, dry and mostly sunny across eastern Poland, Norway, Sweden and Finland. High pressure will also keep it fine across the Baltic States, western Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. For Greece, Turkey, Hungary and Romania another day is expected. Best of the warm sunshine will again be found across Iberia and the Balearics.
