Rain through northern areas of Europe, but fine to the south with sunshine

Saturday
Continued windy across northern parts of Europe today. Lots of heavy showers to come across Britain, northern France, Belgium, Holland into Denmark and up across Norway and Sweden, some thundery. Fine, dry and sunny across Portugal, Spain, the Balearics into southern France. A day of sunshine and showers across Germany today. Most of Poland will be dry except for a few showers in the north. A few showers as well across Finland, The Baltic States and Belarus with most of Russia dry and sunny. Heavy showers are forecast for northern Italy and the Alps with rain across Austria.
Sunny and warm today across the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Warm with a few showers developing across central and southern parts of Italy.



Sunday
Some showers affecting the north of Spain through Sunday. Most of central and southern Spain and Portugal should be dry with sunny spells here. Cloud and rain affecting northern and western France, some heavy. The south of the country is drier, although there could be some heavy showers. Sunny spells in the Low Countries, with lengthy spells of sunshine through Germany and Poland.
Italy will have some heavy showers in the north, but central and southern areas should be dry with lots of sunshine. Greece and Turkey should be fine with lots of sunshine, although showers may develop inland. Romania and Bulgaria should be dry with lots of sunshine.
To the north there will be lots of sunshine in the Baltic States. A few showers in Finland, but sunny spells inbetween. Fine with good spells of sunshine in Sweden. Showers for Denmark and Norway, some of them heavy at times.
