Unsettled northern and western Europe

Windy and unsettled today across western parts of Europe. Heavy showers and spells of rain are forecast for Britain, France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. An area of rain will also be moving across Portugal and Spain. Some rain to come for northern parts of Germany by dry in the south. Lots of dry weather with sunny spells to come across Poland, The Baltic States, western Europe, The Ukraine, Belarus, into Romania, the Czech Republic into the former Yugoslavia. Fine, warm and sunny across Greece and Turkey today. The warmest temperatures are forecast for the Balkans today. Mainly dry with just a few isolated showers across central and southern Italy and around Corsica and Sardinia today. More in the way of showers to come for northern Italy and the Alps. Dry across Austria with sunny spells.

Windy and cool across northern Europe today. Lots of showers are forecast across Britain and northern France. An area of rain across southern France clears in the afternoon. Cloudy today across Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland with outbreaks of rain. High pressure across eastern Europe will give a dry day from Germany eastward into Poland, The Baltic States, Russia, Belarus and across The Ukraine. The settled weather will also continue across the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Lots of warm sunshine also continues across Turkey and Greece. An area of heavy rain is expected across the far north of Italy into the Balearics. Fair and dry for much of Italy. Rain is also expected across the southern half of Spain with the north dry. Windy today in the central Mediterranean.
