Low pressure dominates
With the jet stream displaced unseasonably to the south of the United Kingdom, though pressure areas develop in the eastern Atlantic and will dominate the country throughout the upcoming week. Will keep it very unsettled with showers and longer spells of rain.

Tuesday 03/07/12 A breezy and unsettled day to come with showers across central and eastern areas. Outbreaks of more persistent rain are expected across the west. Some of the showers could be locally heavy. Persistent and heavy rain is expected across Scotland through the evening and night with light rain in the south. Expect highs of 17 to 20C.
Wednesday 04/07/12 Overall expect a good deal of cloud along with scattered showers for much of Britain, although southeast of England may escape with a dry, mostly sunny day. An area of rain may threaten the southeast of England this evening and tonight. Expect highs of 18 to 21C.
Thursday 05/07/12 Any residual rain across East Anglia and the southeast soon clears this morning and while it turns dry here, the bulk of the country will have an unsettled day of sunshine and showers, some of these locally heavy. Expect maximum temperatures of 17 to 21C.
Friday 06/07/12 After a dry, mostly sunny start to the day, showers will develop through the morning becoming widespread in heavy in the afternoon. As the showers fade this evening, light rain edges into western areas overnight. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 19C.
Saturday 07/07/12 The showery theme will continue across the country today. The showers will be interspersed with sunny spells. Heavier rain across northwest Scotland clears to afternoon showers. Expect top temperatures of 15 to 19C.
Sunday 08/07/12 With low pressure dominating the country, it looks as though most areas will have another day of sunny spells and scattered showers. Expect highs of 16 to 20C.
