Wednesday 23/1/18

Drier to the east and south, breezy here also and with rain here later. Highs at 6C to 12C.

Thursday 24/1/18
Low pressure is expected to be close to Scotland on Thursday. This bringing unsettled conditions with rain or showers in Scotland and Ireland, turning to sleet on the hills. Further south it will be bright and breezy with a mix of sunshine and showers, somewhat cooler from the west through the day, overnight frost possible. Highs at 4C to 10C.

Friday 25/1/18
A cooler day with a possible frosty start and with a ridge of high pressure approaching from the west aiding in the development of a N or NW'ly wind with sunshine and showers, these wintry across Scottish high ground, showers fewest further south and east. Highs 3C to 8C.

Saturday 26/1/18
Wet and windy weather is likely to return to northern and western areas by Saturday, perhaps milder here again also. Monday 28/18
