Staying disturbed with rain or showers throughout
Unsettled weather throughout the coming week. The jet stream is going to be overhead or to the south of the country throughout, and this continues to allow low pressure to develop, and to push the depressions through the country. There will be rain and showers, although because of the changeable nature of the weather it is difficult to pinpoint when and where the rain and showers will fall.
For the weather for the next few days click here
Saturday 14/11/09 A deep area of low pressure to the west of Scotland through Saturday. This is going to be bringing some heavy rain with it and some strong winds too. A risk of gales in places. The rain then clears to showers, some of them heavy in the afternoon. Highs near 8 to 13C.
Sunday 15/11/09 The low pressure stays northwest of Scotland and the flow tends to turn to the south. This is going to be pushing showers north, although there is then the threat of more rain and stronger winds arriving in the south again later. Tops of 9 to 14C.
Monday 16/11/09 Low pressure stays close by with the more persistent rain having cleared away. This will leave a mix of sunshine and showers, although the showers merging to longer spells of rain at times. It will be cold and windy too with temperatures around 8 to 12C.
Tuesday 17/11/09 Another disturbed day to come. Low pressure is still in control and will push a band of rain eastwards. This is followed by showers, although it is hard to pinpoint which areas of the country are likely to see rain and which will have showers. Tops of 6 to 11C.
Wednesday 18/11/09 More disturbed weather to come with low pressure close by. There will be showers or longer spells of rain, and again these may well be heavy at times. Highs of 6 to 10C.
