Rain Spreading South
Strong Gales in north Thursday

Wednesday
An area of rain will affect Northern Ireland, northern England, Wales and south west England in the morning. This will be heavy across northern England. During the afternoon as this rain spreads into central and southern parts of England, it becomes much lighter. Sunnier across much of Scotland today but with scattered showers in the north and west. It will be quite a windy day, especially across England and Wales with top temperatures of 13 to 19 Celsius.


Wednesday Night
early this evening will see the last of the rain clearing East Anglia and the southeast with most parts of the country to have a fair, dry evening with well broken cloud. During the night. Another belt of rain spreads in across the Northern Isles and northern Scotland. England and Wales will be dry overnight and still breezy and feeling cool. Temperatures down to the single figures across much of the country with minimum temperatures of 3 to 7 Celsius.


Thursday
It becomes very windy today with strong gales for northern Scotland and the Northern Isles by evening with gusts up to 80 mph possible. Here expect rain during the day. From southern Scotland south into England and Wales expect a bright, dry day with the best of the sunshine across central and eastern areas. Tonight looks cloudy across western Scotland, northwest England and Wales with some light outbreaks of rain. Elsewhere, fair and dry. Expect high temperatures today of 17 to 18 Celsius.


Friday
Friday morning could see some patchy light rain across the far south of England. This tends to fade, leading just one or two showers and a few sunny spells by afternoon. Number of showers are expected to develop across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northwest England, interspersed with some dry, sunny spells. It does look as though most the showers will become confined mainly to western coasts during the afternoon. Apart from some light rain in the northwest of Scotland and across Shetland, it will be dry overnight with mostly clear skies. The warmer today with maximum temperatures of 14 to 20 Celsius.
