Fresher for most
Thundery showers

Friday
The risk of some heavy showers across southeastern England today. The highest risk of the showers is this afternoon when they could turning thundery. Much fresher and brighter to the north and west. There will be good spells of sunshine, but also a few showers. Most of the showers affecting western Scotland and western Ireland with one or two over the hills of Wales and northern England. Highs at 29 in southeast England, but a much cooler 16 to 19C for most.


Friday Night
The showers in southeast England tending to continue through this evening, before turning to lighter rain in the early hours of the morning. Another area of rain moving into northwest Scotland. Elsewhere skies will be largely clear and it should be remaining dry. Lows at 5 to 10C.
 


Saturday
Low pressure is going to be over northern Scotland this morning. An occluded front will be bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain in northern and western Scotland. The risk of showers increasing over Ireland, Wales and western England through the day, although these tending to be well scattered for most. For the rest of England, Wales and southeast Scotland the day is likely to be fresher with good spells of sunshine and only occasional showers. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.


Sunday
The area of low pressure will be to the north of Scotland on Sunday. There is an increased risk of showers, these heavy at times across central and northern areas. An occluded front may bring more persistent rain to western parts of Scotland and the far north of Northern Ireland. The risk of heavy showers increases in the afternoon through central, southern and eastern England. Highs at 14 to 21C
