Thursday An area of rain affecting the west of Scotland, northwest England and extending into the Midlands. There will be a few showers for Northern Ireland and Wales as well as parts of southwest England. Eastern and central parts of the country will be dry with sunny spells throughout, although some showers forming. The afternoon will see further heavy showers affecting western parts of Scotland and England as well as Wales. For more central and eastern areas there will be sunny spells and it should be drier than the last few days. Showers again cross Northern Ireland, but dry for the rest of Ireland with sunny spells. A cool day with tops of 9 to 12C.
Thursday Night There could be some showers across southern parts of Wales and the Midlands. at first this evening, but these will be fading away quickly. It looks likely that many bonfires will be dry, especially in the north. Most of the night is then going to be dry with long clear periods, although a few showers affecting the east of Scotland. Temperatures are going to be falling quickly inland and a slight frost is going to form here. Lows around 0C under the clearer skies, nearer 4 or 5C where it stays cloudy.
Friday A fine start to the day over many central and eastern areas. There could be a few fog patches at first, but these should be clearing away quickly. Thicker cloud and periods of rain will be passing eastwards through Ireland and into the west of Scotland, England and Wales. These will then spread east through all areas and could be heavy at times. Sunnier conditions with a few heavy showers will be following to Ireland. Highs around a cool 8 to 11C.
Saturday Rain and cloud affecting northern Scotland throughout the day on Saturday. For much of the rest of Scotland, England and Wales there will be some sunny spells and a few showers to the west. Inland it should be drier with sunny spells. heavy showers across Ireland and southwest and southern England, some merging to longer spells of rain. Highs near 11C in the south, 6C in northern Scotland.
