UK Forecast - August 17, 2012
A hot weekend
Lots of sunshine developing

Saturday
Dry and sunny across East Anglia and the south east this morning. The rest of Britain will be cloudy and misty with a good deal of low cloud and some patchy rain and drizzle but this may be heavier across north west England and northern Scotland. By the afternoon most areas will have turned dry and sunnier although with the high temperatures, we could see an isolated heavy shower later this afternoon in the south. Northern Scotland will keep some heavy showers too. Expect top temperatures of 20 to 30 Celsius.

Saturday Night
Apart from a few heavy showers in the south, most parts of Britain will have a dry evening with some late sunshine to end the day. Overnight outbreaks of rain spread in across Wales and south west England this looks to turn heavy across Cornwall with light rain into northern England by morning. A warm and humid night with minimum temperatures of 10 to 20 Celsius.

Sunday
Heavy rain is expected across northern England into Wales and south west England and this lingers into the afternoon with the heaviest rain then perhaps for north east England. Fair and dry across the rest of Britain this morning but south east England could see a heavy, thundery shower. Eastern parts of England and Northern Ireland may see a few heavy showers this evening. All parts will be dry in the night with perhaps a good deal of low cloud and mistiness developing. Expect high temperatures today of 30 to 30 Celsius.

Monday
Most parts of the country will be dry with cloud breaking to sunnier spells. In the afternoon showers are forecast to develop with few expected across central and southern England. Some may be heavy with a risk of thunder. Any showers fade this evening then dry for most areas in the night. Still very warm with high temperatures today of 19 to 27 Celsius.
