bDamp and cloudy, rain west and east
A cloudy day for most of us today and you'll need to take a brolly with you. There's an area of patchy rain over eastern England this morning. This is going to be gathering itself and wil become more persistent as it heads through northeast England this afternoon.
A second area of rain, this time accompanied by strong winds will be passing into Ireland. The rain turns heavier and pushes into western Wales and southwest Engl;and by late afternoon. Winds may increase to gale force in Wales, southern Ireland and southwest England later.
If you are between these two rain bands then you should escape with a dry day. Always plenty of cloud around, but make the most of any sunshine if you see it!
