Rain through southern areas, but showery to the north
Good morning, We've a front across southern parts of the country right now, and that means that the south of England is going to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain throughout the morning. That rain could become heavier at times into this afternoon, especially across parts of Kent, before clearing into the Continent.
Elsewhere it is brighter and drier, but there are still showers around. Most of the showers this morning will be across west Wales, western Ireland, northwest England and western Scotland. There could be some more persistent rain in southern Scotland too.
By this afternoon the showers in the west will have become heavy at times. More eastern areas should be staying drier overall and the cloud is going to be more broken here.
Have a great day.
