Morning Call - July 16, 2012
Wet & cloudy
Windy to south

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 16th July 2012
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

More cloud and rain

Good morning, Unfortunately, it's another cloudy and damp start to the week. Fronts are spreading eastwards and northwards through the country and these are going to give cloud and rain for most. The rain will be more persistent and heavier across Wales and southern parts of England. Fairly misty too with fog on western and southern coasts. Breezy in the southern half of the UK too.

Rain reaching southern Scotland too, this heavy in the southwest. But drier across the northern half of Scotland with some sunny spells here. However, showery rain reaches the far north of Scotland later in the day.

The more persistent rain clears east across central and eastern England this afternoon, with western areas tending to become drier. Some brighter skies may comes through too in central parts of England. However, western coasts are probably going to be staying rather cloudy throughout, although they may well become drier.

Have a great day.
