After a dry start in the east of Britain we will find rain in the west soon sweeping in through the morning and it will persist in most areas in the afternoon. The heaviest rain is expected across northern Scotland, northern and southwest England and Wales. Expect top temperatures of 10 to 14C.
Through this evening and tonight spells of heavy rain are likely across England, Wales and northern Scotland. Less cold tonight with lows of 5 to 8C
