Quite a cold, frosty start but some showers already across northern England to begin the day. Showers again will develop through the morning becoming more frequent and heavy in the afternoon with a risk of hail in places. Temperatures of 7 to 9C for the north, 10 to 14C in the south.
Most of the showers fade by this evening then we expect another cold night with a frost as temperatures fall below freezing again.
If you're heading abroad, much of Europe along with the Mediterranean is looking unsettled and windy with showers and heavy rain.
