Staying wet & windy
Good morning one and all and I hope your day has started well.
The morning starts wet and windy with heavy rain and gales across central and eastern parts of England but by noon this will have clear from all but the eastern coasts. Then for the afternoon much of central and eastern parts of England, Wales and Scotland will be dry and bright with sunny spells. A number of showers will be found across western parts and a few heavy though these become few in the south west in the afternoon. Fine across Northern Ireland. Highs of 9 to 14C.
This evening we will see any showers becoming confined to western parts of Scotland with lost places ending the day dry with clear spells. Overnight it stays fine for most places but some light rain reaches south west England in the night. A cooler night than of late with lows of 5 to 10C.
If your heading abroad central and south eastern parts of Europe are looking settled and dry as does much of the Med.
