Possible storm force winds Thursday in west
Good morning one and all and I hope your day has started well.
Surprise, surprise, it's a wet, windy morning across much of Britain but across south west England and Wales this will be replaced by sunshine showers. By the end of the morning the persistent rain will now be across northern England and Scotland and this then clears northern England in the afternoon but lingers across Scotland during the afternoon. A fine afternoon I think across Northern Ireland. Mild with highs of 10 to 14C but the wind will take the edge off of above normal temperatures.
This evening we will see heavy rain clearing northern Scotland. Lots of showers to come across the western half of Britain and these will continue on and off into the night. Inland and eastern areas should be dry tonight with clear spells. Still breezy too with lows at 5 to 10C.
If your heading abroad the weather is looking unsettled across Europe but fine and warmest across southern Spain.
