Morning Call - April 19, 2024
Cloudy northeast
Bright in the south

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 19th April 2024
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Low cloud initially from the North Sea, brighter spells in south

A mostly bright start especially in Wales and southwest England to start, as thicker cloud dominates across eastern parts of the UK, with a few spots of light rain possible in northeastern England and Scotland through the morning and possibly misty and murky.

During the afternoon cloud will break up for many, with scattered showers possible close across much of the coasts of eastern England and Scotland. A persistent NE-ly breeze will keep conditions feeling chilly here. Warmer inland though as it remains less windy with mostly sunny spells expected.

A few showers continue overnight in the northeast as it remains breezy on the coast. Less breezy with clearer spells inland and in the west, but feeling chilly.
