Windy and cool with sunny spells and scattered showers
Good morning, A cold front is across southern England at first this morning. This brings plenty of cloud with it, and although weakening it will be producing some outbreaks of rain. We are hopeful that this will be clearing south by late morning with these areas becoming drier and brighter.
Much brighter, cooler weather across almost all of the rest of the UK and Ireland. There will be sunny spells and it should be dry overall, apart from just a scattered shower on western coasts. The best of the sunshine will be over more eastern and central areas.
An occluded front through Scotland brings cloud and rain here. It will be a windy day with severe gales in the north and east. This afternoon should become brighter with sunny spells developing, although it will be feeling cold.
Have a great day. Simon me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
