Morning Call - October 23, 2017
Unsettled and mild
Area of rain moving east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 23 October 2017
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

The unsettled spell of weather is expected to continue across Britain today but not as stormy as the last week. A weather system crossing from west to east brings rain to most areas but as this clears away to the east in the afternoon, it does improve with drier, brighter conditions following in from the west. Temperatures remain mild across the south as they will for much of the week. Highs will range from 13 to 18 Celsius north to south.

Most places will be dry for the evening but some rain reaches south west England and western Scotland. This tend sweeps into all but the far eastern parts of Scotland and England during the course of the night as it becomes winder. Expect minimum temperatures of 8 to 14 Celsius east to west.

If you are heading abroad much of Europe is quite chilly with heavy rains across south east Europe. It's best across Spain and Portugal.
