Hot and sunny but some thundery rain in the west of Ireland
Another hot day ahead across the UK and Ireland as warm air wafts in from Europe. There will be lots of sunshine for many parts and this lasts throughout the day. Bits of cloud may affect northern England and Scotland, although this is likely to be well broken.
Western parts of Ireland will have cloud and some thundery showers. These continue into the afternoon, although its probably only in the far west of Ireland that there will be enough rain to wet the ground.
Overnight heavier rain will be edging east through western Ireland. Elsewhere it will be dry with clear skies and warm weather too. Some fog may affect eastern coasts of England.
